The competent body will request further documents if necessary.

• Hatcheries with a capacity of 1,000 hatching eggs or more
• Breeding and multiplication farms with a capacity of 100 animals or more

Procedural fee (depending on effort) according to fee schedule

Apply for registration of your hatchery using the prescribed form at the competent body.

• The competent body will examine your application and you will receive written notification of the result.
• With the registration, an identification number will be assigned to your farm.

The identification number may be withdrawn from any establishment that fails to comply with the provisions of the Regulation.

Opposition

Hatchery operations require registration by the country's livestock authority.

Activities requiring registration are in particular:

• the placing of hatching eggs in incubators,
• the incubation of these eggs and
• the delivery of chicks

With the registration, the hatchery establishment is assigned an identification number.
