As the operator of an evaporative cooling system, a cooling tower or a wet scrubber, you are obliged to inform the competent authority immediately in accordance with Annex 3 Part 1 of the 42nd BImSchV and within a period of 4 weeks in accordance with Annex 3 Part 2 of the 42nd BImSchV if a laboratory test reveals that the measures specified in Annex 1 of the 42nd BImSchV for the concentration of Legionella in industrial water have been exceeded. The competent authority receives the information and examines the measures you have taken.
The information according to the Ordinance on Evaporative Cooling Systems, Cooling Towers and Wet Separators is provided via the "Cadastre for the Recording of Evaporative Cooling Systems 42nd BImSchV – KaVKA".
