Property owners and authorized representatives can request information on known ground monuments on the properties in question.
Anyone is permitted to inspect the register of monuments in accordance with Section 10 of the Hessian Monument Protection Act.
The approximate location and classification number of the currently known ground monuments in Hesse (Section 2 (2) HDSchG) are visible to everyone in the publicly accessible Geoportal Hessen (Directive 2007/2/EC establishing an infrastructure for spatial information in the European Community, INSPIRE). Further information on known ground monuments can only be provided to you as the owner of the property or their authorized representative. Proof of authorization must be provided. The request relates exclusively to the public interests of soil monument protection and preservation.
Fill out the respective application for monument information as completely as possible. After your online application has been received by the Hesse State Office for the Preservation of Monuments, you will receive a monument information letter at your postal or e-mail address - if necessary after checking your eligibility.
The Hesse State Office for Monument Preservation endeavors to examine and process your applications for monument information as quickly as possible. The actual processing time depends heavily on the volume of applications.
