The Prime Minister of Hesse congratulates spouses and age anniversaries on request by means of a certificate of congratulations on the following anniversaries:
50th, 60th, 65th, 70th and 75th wedding anniversaries, as well as
90th, 95th, 100th and every subsequent birthday.
On the 65th, 70th and 75th wedding anniversaries as well as on the 100th, 105th and each subsequent birthday, an honour will also be honoured by the Federal President at the request of the municipality of residence.
Further information can be found at the following link:
No further documents are required to apply for the certificates. If the transmission of the data has not been objected to (transmission block according to § 50 Abs. 5 BMG) or a ban on information according to § 51 BMG exists, the municipality of residence will draw up the documents itself on request or request them from the Hessian State Chancellery.
Decisive for the honor is the date of the civil wedding or the completion of the respective year of life. Those to be honoured must have their residence in Hesse. Spouses celebrating anniversaries may not live permanently apart.
It is recommended to submit the application for a certificate of greeting to the commune of residence no later than four weeks before the anniversary date.
The respective municipality of residence is responsible. This prepares the certificates for the 50th and 60th wedding anniversaries as well as for the 90th and 95th birthdays. The certificates for the 65th, 70th and 75th wedding anniversaries as well as for the 100th and each subsequent birthday are requested by the municipality of residence from the Hessian State Chancellery.
The certificate will be presented on the anniversary day by the Lord Mayor or by an official appointed to do so.
