Förderung von Familien mit Mehrlingskindern (ab Drillingen) - Ehrenpatenschaft durch den Hessischen Ministerpräsidenten

The birth of multiples poses special challenges for families: The care and supervision of infants and toddlers is usually hardly manageable for the affected families without support. In this way, additional funds can also help parents in this special phase of life to cope with everyday life and to support the children. In this way, they can make small purchases or, if necessary, hire helpers in the postpartum period to relieve the burden at short notice.
In the event of a multiple birth (from triplet births), the Minister-President of the State of Hesse takes over the honorary sponsorship for children whose legal guardians have their main residence in Hesse at the time of birth and the application. Within the framework of the funds provided in the state budget, the state of Hesse grants the family the following amounts on the basis of the sponsorship:

• in the first year of life 105,00 Euro per month,
• in the second year of life 50,00 Euro per month,
• in the third year of life 50.00 euros per month,
• for the fourth birthday 155,00 Euro one-time,
• for the fifth birthday 155,00 Euro one-time,
• for the sixth birthday 155,00 Euro one-time and
• one-time fee of 155.00 euros for school enrollment.

These are voluntary state benefits. There is no legal entitlement to the donations and further obligations arising from the honorary sponsorship.

The application must be submitted within the first 12 months after birth. In the case of applications submitted after the expiry of the one-year period, the grants will be granted from the month in which the application is submitted.

The persons entitled to custody are informed by the registrars of the municipalities about the possibility of taking over the honorary sponsorship and the funding opportunities as well as the necessary application. The locally competent authority forwards the application to the Hessian State Chancellery (granting authority).
