Zeugnis der Fachhochschulreife (schulischer Teil) aus dem eigenen Bundesland anerkennen lassen

The Fachhochschulreife entitles students to study at a university of applied sciences/university of applied sciences.

The Fachhochschulreife consists of an academic part and a practical part.

The school-based part of the Fachhochschulreife must be proven by a school certificate from a school in NRW.

The Fachhochschulreife can be obtained regularly in North Rhine-Westphalia:

• in a successfully completed two-year vocational school course at a vocational college (e.g. Höhere Handelsschule)
  
• after completing year 11 of the Berufliches Gymnasium with promotion to year 12 in accordance with the conditions of the Ordinance on Training and Examinations in Vocational College Courses Leading to the General Higher Education Entrance Qualification (Training and Examination Regulations for Vocational Colleges -APO-BK Annex D)
  
• at the earliest after the first year of the qualification phase in the gymnasiale Oberstufe under the conditions of the training and examination regulations for the gymnasiale Oberstufe - APO-GOSt
  
• after the first year of the qualification phase at a Weiterbildungskolleg (Abendgymnasium and Kolleg) under the conditions of the training and examination regulations for Weiterbildungskolleg -APO-WbK
  
• in accordance with the provisions of the examination regulations for the external examination (Abitur) and the examination regulations (Abitur) at Waldorf schools

In addition to the school-based part of the Fachhochschulreife, a practical part must be demonstrated in order to obtain the Fachhochschulreife.

The following can be recognized as the practical part, depending on the individual case

• Completed full-time vocational training of at least two years in a recognized training occupation under federal or state law (correspondingly longer in the case of part-time training),
• a one-year full-time supervised internship (longer if part-time)
• at least two years of full-time professional activity (correspondingly longer in the case of part-time work)

In accordance with section IV. No. 5 of the internship training regulations, a one-year supervised internship is equivalent to

• at least one year's continuous participation in vocational training under federal or state law,
• a voluntary social or ecological year of at least one year and
• military and civilian service as well as federal voluntary service of at least one year's duration.

These activities must also have been completed full-time.

• Curriculum vitae
• School-based part of the entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences (leaving certificate/graduation certificate; only the certificate of the school-based part of the entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences (certificate attachment is not sufficient))
• Proof of professional practice (e.g. examination certificate from the chamber of commerce for the completed vocational training, certificate of proper completion of an internship or periods equivalent to the one-year internship)

• School part of the entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences from NRW
• Proof of vocational training, internship or work experience

You submit an application for the Fachhochschulreife to the responsible district government. They will check whether you can be awarded the Fachhochschulreife. You will then receive a notification with the result of the procedure.

Summary certificates are only issued for studies in other federal states. Or also if it concerns activities that are equivalent to the one-year internship.

• School-based part of the Fachhochschulreife acquired in NRW
• With practical vocational part (vocational training, internship or professional activity) recognized as Fachhochschulreife
