Anyone wishing to hunt must take a hunting test and obtain a hunting licence.
However, the hunting licence alone does not entitle the holder to hunt. In addition to the hunting license, a private-law permit for hunting in a hunting district is required. These are usually obtained through a hunting lease or a hunting permit.
- Certificate of passing the hunter's examination in the original (when applying for the first time)
- Passport photo (only for first issue and reissue)
- Proof of the existence of the statutory hunting liability insurance
Fees are charged for issuing a hunting licence. Information on the amount of fees can be obtained from the competent hunting authority.
When issuing hunting licenses to be used by foreign citizens , further requirements apply, about which the hunting authority provides information in individual cases.
The hunting license must be applied for at the hunting authority of your district or your independent city.
