The "Consultant Engineer" is a protected professional title and certifies special characteristics of its bearer.

Consulting engineers plan, construct, test, advise and assess, monitor and coordinate the execution of structural systems.

They are independent of instructions, free of product, commercial and delivery interests and are obliged to represent the interests of their clients. This focus distinguishes them from other service providers in the construction industry.

If you want to work as a Consulting Engineer, you must apply for entry in the list of Consulting Engineers. The list is maintained by the Chamber of Engineers of Saxony-Anhalt.

As a consulting engineer, you are automatically also a member of the Saxony-Anhalt Chamber of Engineers.
Consulting engineers of the Saxony-Anhalt Chamber of Engineers are affiliated to the pension fund for engineers.

• Application for registration
• Officially certified copy/transcript of the award of the academic degree
• Officially certified copy/copy of the complete examination certificate
• Professional career from engineering degree
• Proof of 2 years of practical work as an engineer
• Proof of professional indemnity insurance
• Proof of personal responsibility and independence (e.g. shareholders' agreement)

• You live or work in Saxony-Anhalt
• You may use the professional title "Engineer"
• You have at least 2 years of professional experience immediately before the application is submitted
• You have completed further education and training
• You are independent and self-reliant

In addition to the consulting engineers, engineers authorized to submit building documents and those entitled to proof of stability, experts can also be admitted as members of the Saxony-Anhalt Chamber of Engineers.
