Adressänderung im elektronischen Identitätsnachweis beantragen

If your address changes, you must also have it changed in the electronic proof of identity (online ID function) on your identity card, your electronic residence permit or your eID card for EU citizens.
 

The electronic proof of identity is the online identification function of your identity card, your electronic residence permit or the eID card for EU citizens, with which you can, for example, carry out digital administrative procedures or identify yourself on the Internet for online services.
If your address changes, you will need to have the address on these documents changed.
You can apply for a change of address on the chip of your identity card or eID card for EU citizens either online (if the local government at your new place of residence offers an electronic residence registration) or in person at the Citizens' Registration Office at your new place of residence. You can have the address on the chip of the electronic residence permit changed in person at the Foreigners' Registration Office at your new place of residence.
As proof of your new address, you must present your confirmation of registration.

You can apply for a change of address of your electronic proof of identity, identity card or eID card for EU citizens online (if an electronic residence registration is offered by the local government at your new place of residence) or in person at the Citizens' Registration Office at your new place of residence.
You can apply for the change of address on the chip of the electronic residence permit in person at the competent immigration authority at your new place of residence.

• At an appointment with the authorities, you will present your valid identity card, electronic residence permit or eID card for EU citizens as well as your confirmation of registration.
