If you have a valid partial building permit for the modification of an installation, you can apply for an extension of the partial building permit.

The lower building supervisory authority can extend the partial building permit by a maximum of one year. The legal requirements for this must not have changed.

Application (via online service or in writing)

You have a valid partial building permit for the change of use of a facility.

The legal requirements have not changed in the meantime.

The fees are at least €50.

The costs depend on the following factors:

• Construction costs
• Cost of checking the partial building permit
  

• You can apply for the extension of a partial building permit via the online service or in writing
• If you apply in writing, proceed as follows:
• Submit the application and state in it which partial building permit your application for extension relates to.
• Submit the application to the responsible lower building supervisory authority.
• If necessary, the lower building supervisory authority will ask you to make an advance fee payment.
• Make the advance payment.
• If there are any uncertainties, you will be asked to resolve them.
• In this case, submit the clarification.
• The lower building supervisory authority will check your application and involve the municipality and the necessary authorities
• You will then receive a decision on your application and a fee notice.
• Pay the fees.

• You must apply for an extension as long as the partial building permit is valid.
• The partial building permit can be extended by a maximum of 1 year.
  

You must submit a notification of commencement of use to the lower building supervisory authority at least 2 weeks before commencing use.

You have the option of lodging an objection.
