§ Section 15 (5) in conjunction with Section 15 (7) of the Federal Hunting Act (BJagdG)

If you want to hunt with raptors or falcons, you must have passed a hunting test or special hunting test to obtain a falconry license in addition to the falconry test.

If you wish to hunt with griffins and falcons in Germany, you will need a falconry hunting license in your name.

To apply for a hunting license for the first time, you must have passed a hunting test.

You can only take a falconry test if you have previously passed a hunter's test or a special hunter's test for falconers. To be able to take these, you must apply for a license.

In the case of the special hunting test for falconers, the shooting test and the relevant theoretical subject area are not required.

You can submit the application in writing or, if available, online.

If you submit the application in writing, complete it and submit it by post or in person to the competent authority.

The application and the evidence to be provided will be checked for completeness and correctness.

If all conditions are met, you will be admitted to the special hunter examination.
