The establishment of a further branch office as an inspection engineer for structural stability in the Federal Republic of Germany requires authorisation from the recognition authority.

If the additional branch office is located in another state, the recognition authority decides in agreement with the recognition authority of the other state.

• Address of the registered office
• Address, telephone number and e-mail address of the requested additional branch office
• Distance between the registered office and the additional branch office
• Number of engineers employed at the registered office and how many of them will be used for testing
• Number of engineers employed at the additional branch office and how many of them are to be deployed for testing in the event of authorisation
• approximate time allocation of testing activities between the registered office and the other branch office
• Proof that the additional branch office is responsible for its own activities (in the case of a merger with other inspection engineers, inspection experts, engineers or architects, proof must be provided by means of a corresponding contract for the merger, in particular the articles of association; submission of an extract from the commercial register or an equivalent document from another EU or EEA state or Switzerland)
• Information to ensure the proper fulfilment of tasks, in particular ensuring the supervision of proper construction work as a test engineer at the registered office and in the other branch office

• Inspection engineers for stability who are recognised in the Free State of Saxony can apply for the establishment of an additional branch office.
• Authorisation will be granted if there are no objections to the proper performance of duties as a test engineer.

Fees: according to time spent (EUR 67.00 per working hour or part thereof)

Submit an informal application for the establishment of an additional branch with the required documents to the competent authority.

• You will receive a written confirmation of receipt; the recognition authority will request any missing documents.
• If the additional establishment is to be set up in another country, the recognition authority of the other country will be asked for its agreement.
• If all requirements are met, the recognition authority will issue an authorisation.
