In Saxony, organisers of school camps support the improvement of the learning motivation and willingness to perform of pupils who have learning problems or whose transfer is at risk. As an organiser of school camps, you can apply to the SAB for a grant to cover almost all the costs.

- Projects for the development of self- and social competence
- Projects for the development of teamwork and responsibility in socio-political, cultural or intercultural contexts
- Projects for individual promotion and for increasing motivation to learn
(including measures for project development and coordination)

Camps / Projects
- Projects take place outside of school.
- A camp should only take place during holidays of several weeks and can last a maximum of ten days for the individual participant. The group of participants in a project should consist of at least ten pupils from at least two schools.
- For the purpose of supplementing, expanding or repeating curriculum content, additional school subject-oriented learning opportunities are possible.
- The school camp takes place in Saxony.
Participants of camps / projects
- Participants in the funded projects must be pupils who have their place of residence or habitual abode in the Free State of Saxony or who attend a school in the Free State of Saxony.
- As a rule, the pupils should attend at least grade seven.
- The implementation of the school camp and the maximum of two repetitions with the same sponsor may not take place during the same holidays.
Only pupils who fulfil one of the following conditions will be admitted as participants:
- The school recommends participation because there is a special need for support - especially to prevent the risk of not being promoted to the next grade,
- the pupil attends a special school, or
- the pupil has a grade point average of 3.0 or worse on his or her last (half) year report

You can submit your application via the SAB's funding portal by the respective deadline (see Further Information); use the SAB's advisory services as a first step.
- You can obtain the necessary forms and fact sheets online here via Amt24 or directly from the SAB. The application includes statements on
- Personnel costs,
- Material expenses,
- Administrative expenses,
- Expenses for participants,
- expected income.
- Complete the application and submit it to the SAB with the required documents and evidence.
- After the SAB has reviewed your application, you will receive written notification of whether and to what extent your application has been approved.
- The deadlines for submitting your applications can be found in the funding module. Project applications not submitted by the deadline cannot be considered for selection.
Submit the application before you start the project. Once the application has been received by the SAB (date of postmark), you can start the project at your own risk.
Attention! As long as you have not received a notification of approval, you must assume that you will not receive the grant, or that you will not receive the grant in the amount requested or at the time requested.
