If you want to set up and operate a plant that could damage the environment or endanger the general public, you need a permit under immission control law.

Due to their nature or operation, installations can cause harmful environmental effects or otherwise endanger, significantly disadvantage or significantly inconvenience the general public or the neighborhood.

If you want to set up and operate such a facility, you need a permit from the competent authority.

Stationary waste disposal facilities for the storage or treatment of waste are also subject to approval.

Fees may be charged in accordance with subheading 10 of the State Ordinance on Administrative Fees (General Fee Tariff). Detailed information on this can be obtained from the competent authority.

You must apply to the competent authority before installing and operating the system.

ELiA stands for "Electronic Immission Control Application" and is an IT solution for applying for the approval of a plant in accordance with the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG). With it, companies, or the engineering offices commissioned by them, can create the very extensive application electronically and send it encrypted to the approval authority.

ELiA offers a simply structured interface that is clearly structured according to individual forms and is supported by help, sample applications, default settings, key tables and plausibility checks. Saving is possible at any processing stage. The forms have to be processed in order, as there are dependencies between them.
