State ordinance on vacation dates at public schools in Schleswig-Holstein in the school years 2017/18 to 2023/24 (Holiday Ordinance 2017/18 to 2023/24)

The school holidays at public general and vocational schools are 75 working days per school year.

For public general and vocational schools, the vacation period is 75 working days per school year throughout Germany. The days from Monday to Saturday count as working days. Public holidays are not counted.
The summer vacation dates are determined in all federal states on the basis of the framework specifications set by the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs of the Länder (KMK).

The current vacation dates for Schleswig-Holstein can be found on the state portal "Bildung Schleswig-Holstein".

The fixed school vacations also apply to "second-chance schools", for example evening grammar schools.
