Training advisors are available to all participants as contact persons during the training.

Monitoring vocational training is one of the mandatory tasks of the relevant chambers. These are tasked with appointing advisors who promote and monitor vocational training preparation, vocational training and vocational retraining in companies by providing advice.

During training, the training advisors are available to employers, trainees and their legal guardians, vocational school teachers, works councils and youth representatives as contacts for all questions relating to vocational training. The training advisors provide advice, for example

• on the prerequisites for vocational training, e.g. on training opportunities, training regulations, training contracts and training obligations, type and facilities of the training center, appointment of trainers,
• on the implementation of vocational training, e.g. on pedagogical issues relating to training, the use of training resources (teaching and learning materials), the selection and equipment of training places, the factual structure and timing of training, shortening or extending the training period, cooperation with those involved in the training and
• the trainees, e.g. on questions, rights and obligations arising from the training contract, admission, requirements and procedures for intermediate and final examinations, further training and funding opportunities. on youth employment protection or on possible difficulties in the company or at the vocational school.

The advisors are entitled to visit the training facilities, to request the information necessary for the fulfillment of their tasks and to inspect the relevant documents.

The advisors should meet the requirements placed on trainers in terms of their personal and professional aptitude. They should also have a good general education, extensive practical vocational knowledge, experience as a trainer, interpersonal skills, knowledge of the relevant legal regulations and organizational skills.

To the chamber responsible for the vocational training. This can be, for example

• the Chamber of Skilled Crafts for vocational training in professions under the Crafts Code,
• the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for vocational training in non-trade occupations,
• the Chamber of Agriculture for vocational training in agricultural and rural domestic professions,
• the Chamber of Lawyers, Patent Attorneys and Notaries as well as the Notary's Office for the vocational training of specialists in the field of law,
• the Chamber of Auditors and the Chamber of Tax Consultants for the vocational training of specialists in the field of auditing and tax consultancy,
• the Chambers of Physicians, Dentists, Veterinarians and Pharmacists for the vocational training of healthcare professionals.

Other responsibilities, e.g. Other responsibilities, e.g. for bodies in the public sector, churches or other religious communities, are regulated in the Vocational Training Act (BBiG).
