To this end, they carry out preventive examinations in schools, day-care centers and other legally equivalent care facilities with the aim of detecting dental, oral and maxillofacial diseases at an early stage and working towards treatment. In this respect, they participate in group prophylaxis measures in accordance with § 21 of the Fifth Book of the Social Code.
