Height fixed points are used for height connection of object-related surveys (e.g. structural and civil engineering, observation of ground subsidence, coastal protection).
Height fixed points are used for the height connection of object-related surveys (e.g. structural and civil engineering, observation of ground subsidence, coastal protection). Throughout the entire state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, elevation control points are available in a uniform elevation reference system covering almost the entire area.
The entirety of the elevation control points is referred to as the elevation control point field. Today, the elevation fixed point field of the geodetic spatial reference in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania consists of the levelling networks of the 1st to 3rd order.
Fixed height points are marked by survey marks and must be tolerated in accordance with Section 26 of the Geoinformation and Surveying Act (GeoVermG M-V).
The firm stand, the recognizability and the usability of the survey and boundary marks may not be endangered, unless necessary measures justify an endangerment. Whoever intends to take necessary measures by which surveying and boundary markers may be endangered shall immediately notify the competent surveying and geoinformation authority.
Whoever intentionally or negligently introduces survey or boundary markers without authorization or changes or removes them in their position, acts in violation of the regulations. This administrative offense can be punished with a fine of up to EUR 5,000.
If you consider existing survey and boundary markers to be endangered prior to the execution of measures, or if you notice damage, endangerment or changes to fixed points, please inform us with the following details:
- Point type (location/height fixed point)
- Point identification or verbal location description
- Type of change or hazard (maximum 128 characters)
- Date
- Name and address/phone of informant.
Send an email with the subject "Hazard Report" or "Change Report" to the P.O. Box AFIS@LAiV-MV.de.
- to be inquired at the responsible offices (State Office for Internal Administration).
It usually takes several weeks from the notification to the restoration or relocation of the elevation fixed points.
- Height connection of object-related surveys (e.g. structural and civil engineering, observation of ground subsidence, coastal protection)
- Height fixed point field almost area-wide available
- Obligation to tolerate fixed height points by marked survey marks
- Potential hazards due to necessary measures must be reported
- Misdemeanor proceedings in case of intentional or negligent alteration or removal
