Fingerprints are only stored in the ID card on application. They are stored in the form of the flat print of the left and right index finger in the electronic storage and processing medium of the ID card. If an index finger is missing, the quality of the fingerprint is insufficient or the fingertip is damaged, the flat print of either the thumb, middle finger or ring finger is stored instead.
The fingerprints are taken by the identity card authority.
