Information on suspected contaminated sites, suspected cases, contaminated sites, harmful soil changes, fallow land, devastated areas and erosion events is recorded in the M-V digital soil protection and contaminated site register.
Information on soil contamination data contained in the dBAK M-V can be obtained via the online query of the digital Soil Protection and Contaminated Sites Register M-V (dBAK M-V) and/or by writing to the lower soil protection authorities in the districts and independent towns.
In addition to sites with soil and groundwater contamination (suspected contaminated sites, contaminated sites, harmful soil changes), the dBAK M-V records information on erosion events, devastated and fallow land.
The dBAK M-V is maintained as part of the soil information system by the higher soil protection authority (State Office for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Geology M-V).
- In principle, no documents are initially required for initial online information.
- For written requests for information, proof must be provided (reason for the request, proof of ownership or power of attorney).
a) Online information:
- Initially no documents required
- If no clear result (information on contaminated sites) can be determined, you must enter the contact information required to process your request in an online form and provide evidence of your legitimate interest (owner of the property/authorization, construction measures, planning, etc.).
b) Written information:
- informal request
- Specification of the reason for the request
- Details of the property owner
- Exact name with address
- Enclose a power of attorney from the landowner if you do not own the land.
In principle, no special requirements are initially necessary for the initial online information.
However, if no clear result (information on contaminated sites) can be determined from your online request, you must then enter the contact information required to process your request in a form online and provide evidence of your legitimate interest (owner of the property/authorization, construction measures, planning, etc.).
If you request information in writing, you must prove that you are the owner of the property for which you are requesting information from the register of contaminated sites. If you are not the owner, you must enclose a power of attorney from the landowner with the application.
Initial online information is free of charge.
For written information, fees are charged according to the administrative costs.
No costs (fees and expenses) are charged for negative information (e.g. no suspicion of contaminated sites).
The costs are variable from EUR 0 to EUR 500.00.
You have two options for obtaining information from the digital Soil Protection and Contaminated Sites Register M-V (dBAK M-V):
a) Online
The automated parcel-related initial information is provided via an online service.
If no clear result can be determined, you must enter the contact information necessary for processing your request in a form and prove your legitimate interest (owner of the property/authorization, construction measures, planning, etc.).
b) Written information
You submit an informal request stating the specific reason for the request and details of the property owner. If you are not the owner, you must enclose a power of attorney from the property owner with the request. After you have proven your legitimate interest online or in writing, the official will determine whether there are any entries in the dBAK M-V for the requested property and will send you a corresponding reply.
The information provided to you is based on information from the current Soil Protection and Contaminated Sites Register. The cadastre is updated on an ongoing basis and is subject to change and updating. No guarantee is given for the up-to-dateness and completeness of the cadastre and the information provided.
For written applications, knowledge of the district, parcel and parcel of land of the requested property is required.
The online service also offers the option of selecting parcels of land on a map.
