If your organization can nominate volunteer judges for the labour and social courts, you can apply for grants for training. Funding for annual training and further training is possible with partial funding of up to 75% of the total costs.
What is supported?
The purpose of the funding is to support organizations entitled to make proposals, such as employers' associations or trade unions, in the independent training and further education of persons who are honorary judges at the labour and social courts of the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern or are intended for such an office. The focus is on supporting the implementation of suitable training and further training measures for honorary judges. This ensures ongoing qualification and the opportunity to exchange experiences.
Who is eligible for funding?
Grants can only be awarded to organizations entitled to submit proposals in accordance with Section 20 of the Labour Courts Act and Section 14 of the Social Courts Act.
How is funding provided?
The funding is project funding for annual training and further training, is granted as partial funding in the form of grants and can amount to up to 75% of the eligible expenditure. Eligible expenses include material expenses, expenses for participation allowances and expenses for teaching staff (including fees, travel and accommodation costs).

- Applications for funding, together with the necessary documents, must be submitted to the Presidents of the State Social Court or the State Labor Court by January 31 of the respective financial year.
- The notification of funding with a concrete figure for the grant must be awaited.
- The approved funds can be requested in writing before the training is carried out.
- A statement of account for the training and simple proof of use of funds in accordance with the form must be sent to the Presidents of the Regional Social Court or the Regional Labor Court.
- The proof will be checked and any overpayments may be reclaimed.
- Approved funds or partial payments can be requested at the earliest 2 months before the training event
