Foreign companies may only use the professional titles architect, interior architect, landscape architect and urban planner in their name or in their company if they are authorized to do so.

The professional titles of architect, interior architect, landscape architect and urban planner are protected professional titles. They may only be used in the name or in the company of an external company if the company is authorized to do so as an external company.

For the notification of the first-time provision of services in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern by foreign companies, documents are only required if the Chamber of Architects Mecklenburg-Vorpommern demands proof of certain prerequisites.

Companies with their registered office outside Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania may use the professional titles architect, interior architect, landscape architect and urban planner, word combinations with these professional titles or similar professional titles in their company or in their name if they are authorized to use these or comparable professional titles in their company or in their name according to the law of their country of origin.

The foreign companies must notify the Chamber of Architects of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in advance of providing services in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern for the first time. Notification is not required if the company is already entered in a corresponding register at another Chamber of Architects in a state of the Federal Republic of Germany.
