The job title "Consulting Engineer" is protected by law. If you wish to use this title, you must be entered in the list of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Chamber of Engineers.

Anyone who is entered in the list of consulting engineers of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Chamber of Engineers is entitled to use the protected professional title of consulting engineer.

The application for entry in the list of consulting engineers must be accompanied by the following documents:

• Proof of residence, establishment or employment in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern,
• Proof of a professionally qualifying degree,
• Proof of at least three years of employment as an engineer,
• Proof of equivalent foreign professional qualifications,
• Proof of autonomous and independent activity,
• Proof of adequate professional liability insurance,
• police clearance certificate (not older than 6 months),
• curriculum vitae in tabular form.

Requirements for entry in the list of consulting engineers are in particular

• Residence, establishment or employment in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern,
• a professionally qualifying degree,
• at least three years of practical engineering experience,
• equivalent foreign professional qualification,
• an autonomous and independent activity,
• Confirmation of sufficient liability insurance.
