You must report any exceedance of action values for the concentration of legionella in process water to the responsible authority!
As the operator of an evaporative cooling system, a cooling tower or a wet separator, you are obliged to inform the competent authority immediately in accordance with Annex 3 Part 1 of the 42nd BImSchV and within a period of 4 weeks in accordance with Annex 3 Part 2 of the 42nd BImSchV if a laboratory test reveals that the action values for the concentration of legionella in process water specified in Annex 1 of the 42nd BImSchV have been exceeded. The competent authority will receive the information and check the measures you have initiated. If necessary, the authority will also contact you.
The obligation to provide information takes place via the "Cadastre for the registration of evaporative cooling systems 42. BImSchV - KaVKA".
Registration in the KaVKA-42.BV system is first required in order to provide information when a measure value is exceeded. After successful registration and setting the master data of the workplace (the location of the system) and the system, information can be provided

If a measure value is exceeded, you are obliged, among other things, to inform the competent authority immediately in accordance with Annex 3 Part 1 and within a period of 4 weeks in accordance with Annex 3 Part 2.
