If you have a valid building permit for the modification of a building project, you can apply for an extension of the building permit. The competent lower building supervisory authority can extend the building permit by a maximum of one year in each case if the legal requirements have not changed in the meantime and the application has been received by the competent building supervisory authority before the deadline expires.

The extension of the building permit is subject to a fee.

Fill in the application form and state which building permit your application for extension relates to. Submit the application to the responsible lower building supervisory authority.

The lower building supervisory authority will examine your application and involve the municipality and those bodies whose involvement or consultation is required for the decision on the building permit or without whose opinion the application cannot be assessed. You will then receive the extension of the building permit.

The extension of the building permit is subject to a fee. You will receive a notification of fees. If necessary, the lower building supervisory authority will ask you to pay a fee in advance after the application has been submitted.
