You must notify the lower nature conservation authority of any expansion or significant change to an animal enclosure.

Before you start extending or significantly altering an animal enclosure, you must notify the project at least one month in advance.

To do this, submit the necessary information to the lower nature conservation authority.

The lower nature conservation authority can issue orders to ensure compliance with species and nature conservation in the course of the expansion or significant modification of the animal enclosure.

• Photos of the animal enclosure and other facilities, if applicable

• No costs are charged for the notification.
• Cost range for possible orders within the scope of the notification: EUR 60.00 - 900.00
  • The costs depend on the complexity of the decision, the administrative costs incurred and the value and significance of the order for the addressee.

Notify the lower nature conservation authority at least one month in advance of any expansion or significant change to the animal enclosure. You can submit the notification by online form, e-mail or post.

The lower nature conservation authority will check your information from the point of view of nature conservation and landscape management. If you do not meet the requirements for the expansion or significant modification of the animal enclosure, the lower nature conservation authority can issue corresponding orders.

As this is a notification procedure, no administrative decisions are made against which an appeal could be lodged.
