If you want to hunt with gryphons or falcons, you must have passed a hunter's test or limited hunter's test in addition to the falconry test to obtain a falconry license.

If you wish to hunt with gryphons and falcons in Germany, so-called "Beizjagd", you need a falconry hunting license in your name.

To apply for a falconry license for the first time, you must have passed a hunting test or the restricted hunting test and the falconry test.

• Proof of 95 hours of training

• The applicant must enclose a declaration with the application stating that he or she wishes to take part in the restricted hunting examination.
• Proof that at least 95 hours of training have been completed at a hunting school recognized by the supreme hunting authority.
• In the case of minors, the consent of the legal representative is required.

You can submit the application in writing or, if available, online. If you submit the application in writing, complete it and submit it by post or in person to the competent authority.

The application and the evidence to be provided will be checked for completeness and correctness.

If all conditions are met, you will be admitted to the restricted hunter examination.
