In order to establish a tax consulting company, you need recognition by the relevant Chamber of Tax Consultants. For recognition, you must prove that the company is responsibly managed by tax advisors. With the recognition, the tax consulting company becomes a member of the chamber at the same time. There is an obligation to be a member of a chamber of tax consultants.

The cost of the procedure is currently 550 euros at the Chamber of Tax Advisors of Thuringia.

You must submit a written application for recognition as a tax consulting company. The competent chamber of tax advisors checks, on the basis of the articles of association or the statutes, whether proof of the responsible management of the company by tax advisors has been provided and whether the other requirements for recognition as a tax consulting company have been met.

After receipt of the complete documents, the Chamber of Tax Consultants checks whether the legal requirements for recognition are met.

Prior to entry in the commercial or partnership register, the competent chamber of tax advisors may already confirm that, with the exception of entry in the commercial or partnership register, all requirements for recognition have been met. A written decision shall be issued on the acceptance of the application for recognition. The recognized company is obliged to use the designation "tax consulting company" in its name and in professional dealings.

An action against the refusal of recognition as a tax consulting company is admissible before the Tax Court.
