In addition to proof of a suitable university degree and sufficient professional and testing experience, a specialist assessment is carried out, which includes an assessment of subsoil reports and written proof of knowledge.

• Proof of application for a certificate of good conduct for submission to an authority (document type O or P)
• Details of autonomous and independent activity and of shareholdings in companies or enterprises
• Proof of professional experience and involvement in the preparation or assessment of stability certificates in earthworks and foundation engineering
• List of all subsoil reports prepared in the last 2 years prior to application, including 10 with above-average requirements and 2 complete reports on topics specific to earthworks and foundation engineering

• Completion of an engineering degree in civil engineering, geotechnics or a degree program with a focus on engineering geology at a German university or an equivalent degree program at a foreign university or other equivalent foreign institution
• At least nine years of experience as an engineer in civil engineering, of which at least three years in earthworks and foundation engineering in the preparation or assessment of stability certificates
• Proof of special expertise in earthworks and foundation engineering (to be provided as part of the recognition procedure in the form of an expert opinion)
• No involvement in a company in the construction industry or in a drilling company

200,- to 300,- € (costs of the expert appraisal by the expert appraising body not included)

Registration is possible at any time. The examinations take place every 1 to 2 years.
