War Victims' Welfare serves to supplement pension benefits for beneficiaries under social compensation law by providing special assistance in individual cases.
It includes:

Benefits to supplement other pension benefits on an individual basis,

including supplementary assistance for subsistence,

assistance with vocational rehabilitation and nursing care, and recreational assistance.
Benefits from war victims' welfare or extended benefits under laws declaring the Federal Victims' Benefits Act (BVG) to be applicable are, if not injury-related, dependent on income and assets, i.e. benefits must be calculated.
