If you want to offer courses for accelerated basic qualification or further training as the provider of a training centre, your company must be a recognized training centre. For recognition, please contact the Thuringian State Office of Administration.

Anyone who carries out journeys in road haulage or passenger transport for commercial purposes on public roads is obliged to have an initial qualification and further training.

If you, as the provider of a training centre, wish to offer courses for the accelerated basic qualification or further training, your company must be a recognized training centre.

The following requirements apply:

• Employment of a sufficient number of qualified trainers
• Proof of suitable classrooms and teaching materials for both practical and theoretical training,
• Guarantee of continuous further training of the teaching staff,
• Proof of the applicant's personal reliability.

The application must be accompanied by the documents required to verify the recognition requirements, in particular

• the training program, in which the subject areas taught on the basis of the areas of knowledge listed in Annex 1 to the Ordinance on the Implementation of the Professional Driver Qualification Act as well as the planned implementation of the instruction and the teaching methods are to be described in more detail,
• Evidence of the number, qualifications and areas of activity of the instructors, including evidence of their didactic and pedagogical knowledge,
• details of the classrooms, the teaching materials, the teaching materials provided for practical training and the training vehicles used, and
• the planned maximum number of participants for the respective classroom.

Instructors in the practical part must have professional experience as

• 1. professional driver,
• 2. skilled driver,
• 3. master driver or
• 4. master craftsman for road transport

or appropriate driving experience, in particular as a driving instructor for trucks or buses.

We recommend that you consult with the Thuringian State Administration Office (Department 520) before submitting your application.

You must submit an application in written or electronic form, whereby you require individual recognition for each event location. Recognition can also be granted for several venues in one notification (if applied for at the same time).

The fees are charged on the basis of the Ordinance on Measures in Road Traffic (GebOSt), fee no.: 345 (51.10 - 511.00 euros per decision).

There are no deadlines to be observed.

Objection, complaint

Training centers for the accelerated basic qualification and further training must be recognized by the Thuringian State Office of Administration (Department 520).
