If you move onto a ship and do not have a place of residence in Germany, you are subject to a special registration requirement.
If you are moving to an inland waterway vessel that is registered for a domestic shipping register, you must register.
The owner of a seagoing vessel that is entitled to fly the German flag must register the captain and crew members of the vessel at the beginning of the employment, employment or training relationship.
