researching the object in the monument database, researching files on the object in question if necessary and forwarding complex and technical questions to the responsible scientific experts or the head of the department.
The property should be protected as a cultural monument in accordance with the Monument Protection Act.
For this purpose, the current list of monuments can be called up and viewed as a publicly accessible list of monuments on the homepage of the Directorate for the Preservation of Monuments.
The list of monuments is the list of all cultural monuments in the state.
It contains only brief information.
The list is constantly updated and supplemented with newly recorded monuments.
- Receipt of a request by the Inventory Office with a request for information on the monument status and the scope of protection by phone call, e-mail or letter

- Research in the monument database
- File research on the requested object
- Research documents from the list of monuments in paper form
- Possibly information from corresponding monument topography
- Researching the digital map from the data set and supplement to the inspection case (if available)
- Answering the inquiry based on the results or
- in the case of complex and technical questions, forwarding to the responsible scientific processor or the head of department
Depending on the extent of the clarification required for the request, processing can take 1-4 working days or up to 14 days.
Sensitive and personal data subject to data protection cannot be passed on in connection with such a request.
