Exceeding measures for the concentration of Legionella in useful water must be reported to the competent authority!
As the operator of an evaporative cooling system, a cooling tower or a wet separator, you are obliged to inform the competent authority immediately in accordance with Appendix 3 Part 1 of the 42nd BImSchV and within a period of 4 weeks in accordance with Appendix 3 Part 2 of the 42nd BImSchV, if a laboratory test finds that the measures for the concentration of legionella in useful water are found to have been exceeded in Appendix 1 of the 42nd BImSchV. The competent authority shall receive the information and examine the measures you have taken. If necessary, the authority will also contact you.
The obligation to provide information is provided via the "Cadastre for the detection of evaporative cooling systems 42. BImSchV - KaVKA" - .
In order to inform about the exceeding of an action value, a registration in the system KaVKA-42.BV is first required. After successful registration and discontinuation of the master data of the workplace (the location of the plant) and the plant, information can be provided
