Section 15 (5) in conjunction with Section 15 (7) of the Federal Hunting Act (BJagdG)

If you want to hunt with griffins or falcons, you must have passed a hunter's exam or special hunter's exam in addition to the falconer's exam to obtain the falconer's hunting license.

If you want to hunt with griffins and falcons in Germany, the so-called pickling hunt, you need a falconer hunting license in your name.

To apply for a hunting license for the first time, you must have passed a hunter's exam.

You can only take a falconry exam if you have previously passed a hunter's exam or a special hunter's exam for falconers. In order to complete these, you must apply for admission.

In the special hunter's test for falconers, the shooting test and the related theoretical subject area are omitted.

If you submit the application in writing, fill it out and submit it by post or in person to the competent authority.

The application and the evidence to be provided will be checked for completeness and correctness.

If all conditions are met, you will be admitted to the special hunter's exam.

There is no deadline.
