If the vehicle data or owner data for your vehicle has changed, you must report this to your registration authority.
Changes to your personal data (except in the case of a change of address alone) and certain technical changes to the vehicle must be entered in the registration certificate Part II (formerly the vehicle registration document).
If the owner data or vehicle data of your car, motorcycle or trailer changes, you must inform your responsible vehicle registration authority.
Holder details change if you change your name, for example if you get married. You must also inform the registration authority of any change of address if you move house.
Technical data changes, for example

- Change in cubic capacity, rated power, fuel type or energy source
- Increase in the maximum speed determined by the type of construction

You can visit your registration authority in person or appoint a representative.
The owner data is also entered in the registration certificate part II. You must therefore enter any name changes there, for example. You are also obliged to declare any technical changes to the vehicle that change the EC vehicle class, engine capacity, rated power, fuel type or energy source.
If the vehicle is taken out of service, re-registered or the type of license plate is changed, the official license plates must be invalidated by the registration office by removing the official seal stickers.
Note:
When registering a vehicle that is still registered abroad, the foreign license plates must be presented.
In the event of theft or loss of a license plate, any remaining license plate must be presented.
Attention:
A vehicle with a license plate that has been removed may only be put into operation on public roads in exceptional cases in connection with the registration.
If a test or seal sticker becomes unusable or is lost (e.g. car wash), you should replace it immediately or have a new sticker affixed to avoid unnecessary trouble.
