The following information and evidence are required for the informal application for approval of a rescue station:

Copy of the letter commissioning the local rescue service

• Room plan of the rescue station
• Proof of qualification of the persons providing practical instruction
• List of the equipment
• Practice curriculum

You will receive approval for your rescue station to train emergency paramedics if you

1. ensure that the practical training is carried out in accordance with the training and examination regulations for emergency paramedics and
2. have entered into a cooperation agreement with a state-recognized school.

You will receive approval as a teaching rescue station if, in addition to the above-mentioned requirements, you meet the following requirements in accordance with the Supplementary Provisions to the Lower Saxony Ordinance on Requirements for Schools for Healthcare Professions and Institutions for Practical Training (NSchGesVO) and for practical instruction in accordance with the Geriatric Care Act, the Nursing Act and the Emergency Paramedics Act:

• They have been commissioned to perform the tasks of the local rescue service,
• They have the personnel to fulfill the training mandate (practical instruction, supervision of trainees),
• You are able to carry out the training in accordance with NotSan-APrV with the number of assignments,
• You have the premises and equipment required for training and
• You have sufficient up-to-date literature and training materials.

The application for the approval of a teaching rescue station is made using the application form "Approval of a teaching rescue station". This application must be submitted by email or by post to the Regional State Office for Schools and Education in Hanover. If necessary, a consultation can take place before the application is submitted.

The application will be reviewed once all required documents have been submitted.

If documents are missing, they will be requested.

If necessary, an on-site inspection of the premises will take place.

A decision will be sent to you after the inspection.

The approval is permanent. However, changes to the recognition requirements or the termination of training at the institution must be reported in writing immediately after becoming known.

Approval must be obtained before the first students are placed in the institution

In the event of a rejection of the permit applied for, administrative legal action may be taken.

The rejection will be accompanied by specific information on legal remedies, indicating the time limit for taking legal action and the competent administrative court.
