Erlaubnis zur Sondernutzung beantragen

A permit is required for events in which the number of participants or their behavior takes up more public roads than is usual for traffic. Events requiring a permit are, for example, cycle races, cycle tours, fun runs, inline skating races, triathlon competitions, classic car or orienteering tours or similar events.

Information is required on

• the type and occasion of the event
• the venue and date of the event
• the duration of the event
• the number of participants / vehicles
• the course of the route
• the starting procedure

A route plan and proof of organizer's liability insurance must be enclosed.

The permit is subject to a fee.

The application must be submitted approximately two months before the intended date.

It is essential that applications are submitted in good time, as the authorities affected by the event (lower road traffic authorities, the police and other authorities) must be involved. The concerns, conditions or information (e.g. regarding local roadworks) expressed during this consultation process will be taken into account by the responsible authority when issuing the permit in order to ensure that the event runs smoothly.

A permit is required for events where public roads are used more than is customary.

Responsibility lies with the district and the city. If the event extends beyond the district of the competent authority, the Lower Saxony State Authority for Road Construction and Traffic is responsible for granting permission for the event.
