Study and examination regulations of the respective university

The decision on your recognized study periods and achievements is usually made by the examination board of your degree program.

Your passed and failed coursework and examinations as well as periods of study at the previous university will be credited to your newly chosen course of study if equivalence exists.

In the case of recognition and recognition, the equivalence of your previous periods of study and academic achievements will be checked.
In this context, the following are compared:

• Content / Learning Outcomes / Quality
• Level (e.g. Bachelor's, Master's)
• Amount of time (workload) or presentation of the workload (ECTS credits)
• Profile

If equivalence is determined, recognition will be granted. Recognition of non-university competences can be granted with a share of up to 50% of the achievements to be acquired. In the case of successful recognition, this time or service does not have to be provided again. You do not have to take the corresponding exam (not even for reasons of grade improvement).

You can apply for the recognition and recognition of periods of study and academic achievements in writing using the form of the respective university:

• Download and print the form online.
• Fill out the form and attach the necessary supporting documents.
• Submit the application documents to the relevant university.
• The university or the examination board checks the equivalence of the previous academic achievements.
• You will then receive a written notification of recognition or, if applicable, information about the rejection of your application.
