The applicant must apply/register for admission to the examination at the Brandenburg State Hunting Association no later than 2 months before the written examination. The Brandenburg State Hunting Association is a member of the Hunting Association and has been commissioned to carry out the hunter's examinations in Brandenburg.

The first issuance of a hunting license is dependent on the applicant having passed a hunter's examination within the scope of the Federal Hunting Act, which should consist of a written and an oral-practical part and a shooting test. In the hunter's examination, sufficient knowledge of animal species, wildlife biology, game management, hunting operations, game damage prevention, agriculture and silviculture, weapons law, weapons technology, the use of hunting weapons (including handguns), the management of hunting dogs, in the treatment of the hunted game with special consideration of the hygienically necessary measures, in the assessment of the health-safe nature of the game, in particular with regard to its use as food, and in hunting, animal welfare, nature conservation and landscape management law; deficient performance in the shooting test cannot be compensated for by performance in other parts of the test. The Länder may make admission to the hunter's examination dependent in particular on proof of theoretical and practical training. For applicants who held an annual hunting licence before 1 April 1953, the hunter's examination does not apply. A hunting examination taken before the date on which accession takes effect in the German Democratic Republic for hunters who wish to hunt with a hunting weapon shall be equivalent to the hunter's examination within the meaning of sentence 1.

• In the case of repeat examination, written confirmation of failure to pass the examination (§ 13 para. 2 of the hunter's examination regulations)
• If applicable, declaration from the locally responsible hunting authority about registration with another hunting authority or .dem Brandenburg State Hunting Association to take the hunter's exam
• Proof of payment of the examination fee

The applicant must apply for admission to the examination at the Landesjagdverband Brandenburg e. V. at least 2 months before the written examination and register.

The Landesjagdverband Brandenburg e. V. is entrusted and commissioned to carry out the hunter examinations in Brandenburg. The application is made in accordance with the forms of the Brandenburg State Hunting Association.

Registration deadline 2 months before written exam

The training may take place no more than four years ago and will be recognized from other federal states if the catalog of requirements is met (§ 3 para. 4 and 5 hunter examination regulations).
