Are you applying for a permit for installations under the simplified procedure? Then you can obtain a permit from the competent authority for the construction and operation of installations of a certain type or size without public participation.

Permits for installations of a certain type or size can be issued in a simplified procedure. In these cases, the procedure is carried out without public participation.

You will be granted a permit if you fulfill the obligations arising from the Federal Immission Control Act and if the project does not conflict with any other regulations under public law.

• You must prove that you will comply with the obligations of the Federal Immission Control Act when constructing and operating a plant.
• There are no other regulations under public law or occupational health and safety concerns that conflict with the project.

A fee is charged for the decision on a permit application in accordance with tariff item 2.1.1 of Annex 2 of the Fee Schedule (GebOMUGV).

You apply for the simplified permit from the competent authority in writing or via ELiA.

You enclose the required documents with the application.

The competent authority will immediately confirm receipt of the application and the enclosed documents in writing or electronically.

Upon receipt of the application, the competent authority will inform you which additional documents it requires to assess the requirements.

You can only start your project once you have received approval.

A decision on the application for approval must be made within three months of receipt of the application and the complete documentation to be submitted.
