If you are entitled to compensation payments for victims of the effects of both world wars, either as an injured party or as a widow or widower, you can apply for compensation.

Injured parties and widows or widowers can have their entitlement to the monthly compensation payment (CET) capitalized. The compensation for injured parties is paid for five years and amounts to 60 times the CET. The settlement for widows and widowers is a one-off payment of EUR 132,386.

Payment of the settlement settles the claims to the CET for a period of five years or permanently. Monthly compensation payments already made are to be offset against the severance payment.

A corresponding application must be submitted.
