The municipal sewer system consists of wastewater and rainwater pipes. Both discharges are often combined in a combined sewer. Before reporting a blockage, please make sure that it is not on your property. The property owners are responsible for and are obliged to maintain the pipes on the property and up to the property boundary with public land. In the inspection shaft, if there is one, you can check whether the wastewater from your property is still draining properly and whether the blockage must be in the municipal network. If there is an inspection shaft, it is usually located on the property or as an inspection shaft in the building (basement, connection room, etc.). It should be accessible at all times.
Please be sure to state the exact location of the blockage, if possible the street and house number.
