If you have suffered a lasting health impairment (vaccine damage) as a result of a vaccination, you may be entitled to compensation.

Vaccine damage is the health and economic consequence of damage to health that goes beyond the usual extent of a vaccination reaction.

If you or your child have suffered vaccine damage as a result of a vaccination that is required by law or recommended by an authority, you may be entitled to benefits under the Social Code, Volume XIV (SGB XIV) and the associated benefits catalogue. You must submit an application to the responsible authority.

• Evidence of vaccination administration
• Vaccination certificate
• Treatment records

• You have had a vaccination that is required by law or recommended by an authority.
• You have suffered vaccine damage as a result of the vaccination (this can generally only be assumed after six months have passed)

• You submit your application in writing to the responsible authority. You can submit the application informally or use the form provided.
• The responsible authority will check the completeness of your application and, if necessary, request any missing documents or information from you.
• The competent authority checks whether the requirements are met.
• A medical assessment follows.
• The responsible authority will inform you of the decision in writing.

The processing time varies in individual cases.

In principle, there are no deadlines to be observed. In order to receive compensation from the time the damage occurs, you must submit the application within one year of the vaccination.

There are no special features

Objections can be lodged against decisions.
