If you would like to make a change to your listed property or an object in the vicinity of a listed building, you will need monument approval.
The application for a monument permit is required if you want to carry out structural work on or in a protected monument (including an ensemble). This includes modernization, repair, renovation or restoration measures. Changes to the appearance of a monument are also measures that require approval. In addition, the removal of a monument, whether partial or complete, requires approval. Structural measures in the immediate vicinity of a monument may also require approval and may require approval.

The following documents must be enclosed with the application: The planned measures must be presented in a meaningful and verifiable manner in the application documents.
- Powers of attorney if the applicant is not the owner
- Site plan showing the inventory and planning (scale 1:1000)
- Description of the inventory in the area of the planned measure with information on construction, materials and equipment
- Photos of the monument: current, meaningful and assignable (preferably mapped) of the affected areas, including detailed photos
- As-built plans (scale 1:100 / 1:50), if necessary details 1:10 / 1:5 / 1:2 for the areas affected by the measures.
- Floor plans, views and sections with information on the current use of the monument
Note: If only smaller individual measures are planned (e.g. repairs, etc.), complete sets of inventory plans may be unnecessary
- Conversion plans / expansion plans (scale 1: 100 / 1:50) (illustration: demolition = yellow; new building = red)
