If you, as a qualified person, want to carry out investigations into wastewater pretreatment plants, you must first apply for authorization.
A wastewater pre-treatment plant is a plant that treats wastewater before it is released into the environment. If you, as a competent person, want to inspect wastewater pre-treatment plants to ensure that they comply with the applicable requirements, you must apply for a permit. You must apply for the permit from the competent authority. Only once you have the permit can you start carrying out inspections.
- Proof of your professional experience in the field of wastewater technology
- Proof of your expertise
- If applicable: Registration in another federal state
- Proof of professional liability insurance
- You have already worked in the field of wastewater technology for at least 3 years
- You have completed a degree in engineering or natural sciences in a field relevant to the activity you are performing, or an equivalent recognized qualification, or, in exceptional cases, subject-related vocational training combined with many years of professional experience.
- You are independent (there is no connection between the intended audit activity and any other service you offer)
- You have the necessary reliability
- You submit your application together with the necessary documents to the responsible authority.
- The responsible authority will examine your application and, if necessary, request any missing documents or information from you.
- You will receive the decision of the responsible authority in writing.
- A wastewater pretreatment plant is a facility for pretreating wastewater before it is discharged into the environment.
- Experts examine systems and check compliance with the specifications.
- In order to be able to inspect systems as a qualified person, a licence is required
- Inspections may only be carried out after approval has been received.
