Zuverlässigkeitsüberprüfung nach dem Bremischen Hafensicherheitsgesetz beantragen

For certain security-related activities in the ports of Bremen, you need a background check. Upon successful completion of the check, you will be issued a clearance certificate.

The port security authority is the competent authority for port security. The background checks within the meaning of Section 16 of the Bremen Port Security Act are carried out by the Aviation Security Authority on its behalf.

If you submit an application for a background check, the check will be carried out. If the check is completed successfully and no doubts remain about your reliability, you will receive a clearance certificate.

With this certificate, you are allowed to carry out security-related activities in the ports of Bremen.

• Identity card or passport
• crime report

  Certified and translated extract from the criminal record of the country where the stay abroad has lasted more than 6 consecutive months. Further information and exceptions can be found in the application form, Annex Z.

There must be a legitimate interest in the inspection in accordance with §16 of the Bremen Port Security Act and the Bremen Aviation Security Authority must be the competent authority. This applies if you belong to one of the following groups of persons and carry out a security-relevant activity in Bremen's port facilities:

1. Persons who are to be deployed as security officers.
2. persons entrusted with developing or updating a security plan
3. other persons who, by virtue of their activities, have access to the security assessment and the security plan or are deployed in special security areas, insofar as the competent authority deems this necessary in individual cases
