If you need information on whether there are findings on contaminated sites or harmful soil changes for a property or in order to be able to assess the possible contaminated site situation, contact the contaminated site information service of the soil protection authority.
Information on the contaminated site situation of the property in question is important for planning security with regard to investment decisions for commercial and private purchase or sale projects, for the valuation of properties or for planned construction projects. Against this background, the Soil Protection and Contaminated Sites Department of the Senator for the Environment, Climate and Science or the Environmental Protection Office at Bremerhaven City Council provides information on contaminated sites, contaminated sites, harmful soil changes or groundwater contamination caused by contaminated sites for individual properties.
Information on contaminated sites is provided to every citizen in accordance with the Environmental Information Act.
You can conveniently use the online service "Property-related information on contaminated sites".
If property-related information on contaminated sites is required, for example in connection with the purchase, sale or valuation of a property, the following information is required:
- Name,
- address,
- exact address of the property with parcel and plot for which the contaminated site information is required
For architects and drafters, an inspection for contaminated sites is mandatory for certain building projects in accordance with the State Building Code (LBO). For building projects for which this inspection is to be carried out, the following are required
- the attached form "Preliminary investigation of contaminated sites",
- a site plan of the building plot with the planned construction project
The local jurisdiction of the responsible authorities (see "Responsible authority") must be observed.
