If you have been officially banned from practicing your trade, you can apply for re-authorization.
If it has been established in the past that you were unreliable under trade law and you were banned from carrying on a trade, you have the right to apply for permission to carry on a trade again. As a rule, this is possible after one year, or earlier if there are special reasons.
- Certificate of good conduct in document type OG (for submission to an authority)

This can be applied for via the trade registration office. The Senator for Economics, Ports and Transformation -Commercial Affairs-, Katharinenklosterhof 3, 28195 Bremen should be specified as the recipient when applying.
If a legal entity is planned as the operator, information for this legal entity and the entire management is required.

- Extract from the list of debtors of the enforcement court The debtors' register can only be inspected online at www.vollstreckungsportal.de. Registration is necessary here. You will then receive a PIN by post, which you can use to start your search. The result of your query must be printed out and enclosed with your application.
- Information from the insolvency court as to whether proceedings have been opened
(to be applied for at the district court of the place of residence)
The applicant's reliability must be established in order to be able to exercise the trade again. In particular, the reasons that originally led to the prohibition of the trade should have been eliminated.
The trade authority in whose area the applicant wishes to become self-employed again is responsible for the reinstatement procedure. If a future place of business is not yet known, the trade authority of the place of residence is responsible.
Once you have submitted a written application for re-authorization, your reliability under trade law will be checked on the basis of your details and other official inquiries. Allow 4 to 6 weeks for the verification procedure. In individual cases and depending on the scope of the check, it may take longer.
