If the main residence is in Bremen and the move is within the city, the change of your address must be notified to the vehicle registration authority by submitting the ZB I. The notification of the change of address is possible online since 01.10.2019. Here, the Bremen registration authority provides you with an online portal.
- Registration certificate part I (ZB I) with attached security code
- identity card (PA) / electronic residence permit (eAT) with activated online identification function or electronic proof of identity (eID card) for EU citizens and members of the European Economic Area
To read the PA or eAT, an external card reader or an Android smartphone with version 5.0 or higher and NFC interface or an IPhone 7 or higher with version iOS 13.1 or higher and the badge App2 is required.
- The applicant is a natural person
- The change of the registration address must have been made in advance at the Citizen's Office
- Payment of the fee by means of ePayment system
After successful entry of all personal data as well as the vehicle data, you will receive an online notification for retrieval. This notification contains a PIN code. You have 30 minutes to enter this code in the online portal. Once the procedure has been completed, you will carry the notification with you until you receive the ZB I. If you do not retrieve the notification or do not enter the PIN code, the Admissions Authority will send the notification together with the Notification of Admission I. In this case, the change of address takes effect on the third day after the mailing.
